First trip to Qatar was not as fun as I had expected.

Bad: taxis...no meter or doesn't work yet they have gps. 

Moevenpick was nasty. 

Expensive 

Plus: Good food

Heading back on Monday so I hope this trip is better. Will be working so no sightseeing.

The name said seafood so we were excited for this. Opening the menu everything was middle eastern based which we had for dinner the previous night. The view was beautiful but I did not care for the menu selection.

Never in a million years would I have thought that I would see banana pudding!!

Not just banana pudding but real vanilla wafers and proper everything.

They let me taste it and oh man...I bought a small container.

Soon yummy!

Doha, Moevenpick

 Construction all over as they build a train and metro.

Room bare and feels blah.

Just blah really. Haven't stayed in a plain hotel like this in the Middle East in awhile.

Had to request a nonsmoking room.

AUH to DOHA

Early morning flight from Abu Dhabi to Doha this is my first trip to Qatar. I have 3 stores here. One, being top store in the world!!

I have 3 days where I will meet all of my store staff and area acting manager. This will be my first trip to our head office there.

I am flying Etihad Airways. Exit row. I didn't feel like going to the counter so I checked in online. Normally when friends have flown they get upgraded but this airport was soooo busy this morning. Many are laborer a with work papers to enter the country. There are some Japanese tourists sitting across from me in the lobby. Also a group of about 20 blonde Europeans can't guess where they are from...look German..Maybe they are going to film Man In The High Castle?

Trying my new work bag. We had luggage on sale but I decided to wait and they were all sold out.
